Meow & Forever: an opera in two cats…acts

Music by Jodi Goble | Libretto by Basil Considine | Director: Rhoslyn Jones | Conductor: Kyle Naig

Jodi Goble’s Meow & Forever had its fully staged world premiere at SFCM during the winter term of 2024. The performance was an opportunity for undergraduate singers to work one-on-one with the composer and to perform this 40-minute romantic comedy about chosen family, time management in the 21st century, and the challenges of post-college friendship and queer romance.

Ms. Goble writes text-based, character-driven music fueled by her extensive background as a vocal coach and song specialist collaborative pianist. Ms. Goble was in residence at SFCM for this project. Rhoslyn Jones directed and Kyle Naig conducted.

Please see Jodi Goble’s website for score information.
